Law 36

I'm getting the feeling that none of the umpires in this series have taken Daryl Harper's approach of increasing the range of LBW appeals that they will answer in the affirmative based on having seen Hawkeye. The exception, of course, is the Mitchell Johnson dismissal at Lord's.

Quite a few LBWs not given, only for the decision to look bad to commentators when Hawkeye suggests it was hitting towards the top of the stumps. I thouhgt that not that long ago, these decisions would have been accepted as having questions about height.

There were another couple that were given in the last session (morning, day 4), so my simplistic comment looks less sensible. Of course, how far forward the impact was should also be considered.
